We caught the first throes of the Millennium Tower's topping-off party, which just ended about an hour ago. A ceremonial bucket carrying a small pine tree and American flag were hoisted atop the building in what we understand to be a traditional ceremony signifying that the last of the concrete has been poured for 645-foot tall structure. Like a champion game-winning basketball, said bucket was signed by the entire crew. Lunch was served up to all, as was the Jazz. Joy.
UPDATE— A few more shots have trickled in; enjoy.
