More Restos for Union Street (Maybe)

New, 1 comment

Eater has the deets on a possible influx of new restos on Union Street; a proposal is currently under consideration by the city that, if passed, will lift a decades-old restriction on storefront conversions into eating establishments. The Golden Gate Restaurant Association opposes, citing (amongst other things) the possibility that more liquor licenses may incite too many good times. "We don't need more restaurants — we just need better restaurants," said a concerned NIMBY. Sigh. [Eater SF]
