Curbed SF Awards '08 Presents Best Public Art, Illegal

New, 3 comments

Huzzah! It's that time of year again, which means it's that time of blog again: time for some requisite "best of the year" wrap-ups. Welcome to the 2008 Curbed SF Awards, wherein we celebrate, honor and reminisce about the best and worst of San Francisco neighborhood, real estate and streetside developments these past twelve months. Look for updates now until New Year's -- we'll be sprinkling these bad boys out like cinnamon in your hot toddy.

Rich Fuckers Get Out. A simple sentiment, but one oh so very relevant in these gentrifyin' times. This little baby was spotted a few months ago on the sidewalk outside of freshly brewed Valencia hipster gathering hole, Four Barrel Coffee. We're going to go ahead and call it our favorite graf of the year: not for the choice of font, per se, but for its brevity and profound political message. Unfortunately Four Barrel didn't agree, and the art was shortlived. See the sidewalk there for a fresh new black splotch.
