Oh, yay. The Presidio Parkway design and environmental impact report for Doyle Drive have passed the Board of Supes and are now waiting for that final approving stamp -- from the feds. Construction is expected to begin in 2010 (around the time congestion pricing might kick in?), and completed in 2014. All to the tune of $1 billion, with the Golden Gate Bridge District chipping in $80 million. A six-lane highway (with two tunnels!) to benefit North Bay residents, of course -- but funding for public transportation? Who needs that! Cars will be here forever!
