A little something to be thankful for post-Turkey day? This shot of Union Square may not make the city's shopping center look any more populated than usual, but the early tallies are in, and it looks like Black Friday brought more shoppers into SF stores than initially feared. The Westfield was "very encouraged," and BART was teaming with the purchase-happy droves. But will this mean hope for the hurting retail sector? Yeah, not so much. Expect the store closings to continue onward... (And please, dear readers, tip us off on your favorite or most loathed shuttered spots.)
