Filed under "No Shit!": The SF Business Times reports that San Francisco rental rates are skyrocketing. Still. Average monthly rents are higher here than anywhere else in the nation save New York City— $1,827/ per, as compared to NYC's $2,855. Those numbers are growing fast: 6.3 percent since 2007 — faster than every U.S. city (except Seattle). Compare that to the national rate of .6 percent and things start to look dismal for Joe Renter. Still to come in SF? Three new rental buildings: 1169 Market Street, 355 King Street, and 555 Mission Rock Boulevard.
