Honoring it's name, pirates have stormed Treasure Island. Copper pirates, that is. The abandoned Naval buildings on the island are an easy target for thieves, and with copper prices skyrocketing thanks to worldwide building booms, they have new incentive. The most recent victim of this black market industry is the restaurant and bar once known as The Fogwatch. Plans to renovate the 13,000 sq ft building into an event space have been put on hold due to the increased cost — not only must the wiring now be replaced, but the resulting wall and ceiling damage must be repaired as well. We're all for renovation out there, and this is really unfortunate, but where did city hall shelve that whole Treasure Island Redevelopment thing?
