Rumblings & Bumblings: the Curbed SF construction watch for readers, by readers. You ask, we pass. Got an answer to one of these queries? To the comments or the tipline! Wondering about some urban carnage? Let us know. (As always, bonus points for digital photos.)
In last week's edition of Rumblings & Bumblings, we received an inquiry about a building project on Shotwell, between Mission and Harrison. "Is the Mission facing down yet another set of McCondos?" fretted our fair reader. The answer? Nothing to fear: It's a worker's union— Laborers Local 261, to be exact.
Today's reader has had it up to here with the color purple:
Dear Curbed: Remember that game called "Hungry Hungry Hippo"? You know, the one with the purple plastic hippo? Or hey, what about Barney? Either way, this atrocious lavender crane/ bulldozer/ whatever has been parking its fat ass on Clayton Street for a long time. Anyone know what gives here? Not much, by the looks of things.
