i Phone Hangover Fuels MacWorld Tourism

Macworld PR mouthpieces claim that a "hangover" from last year's announcement of the iPhone drew the 50,000 pre-registered attendees to the conference (not to mention those who signed up on-site). 35,000 hotel rooms were rented out and restos reported through-the-roof numbers. Overall revenue generated for the city: an estimated $36 million. And the thing isn't even over yet. [SF Examiner]
