On The Market: 590 Lisbon, Armchair Watercolorist's Dream

590 Lisbon, asking price $779K, looks to be an adorable property in the Excelsior, if the plethora of marketing build-up (adverts, email blasts, web sites) is accurate. The house's description as a "storybook Victorian with views" seems very appropriate; the pics represent a cottage-like feeling, but with plenty of space: two stories, 1,310 sq. feet, a rear patio, garage with laundry, and a garden in-law (albeit unwarranted) that's promised to be empty before move-in.

Is the location too far out there? Or will the reasonable (for San Francisco) cost per square foot ($595) and the beautiful views be enough to attract folks in the market for a sub-$800,000 property? If there's a kiddie in the picture, take note: it's also only 1/5 of a mile from the lauded Excelsior Playground. Bonus! the MLS listing has that cool watercolor painting of the property. If you close escrow, will they throw the art in with it? Fingers crossed...
