Introducing Eater SF

It's a big day here at Curbed SF, in part because we're welcoming a sibling to our nest. Friends, please break out the cigars for Eater SF.

[Outside the South Beach newcomer South Food + Wine Bar, set to open Monday.]

Following on the heels of its nationally recognized brethren in New York and Los Angeles, Eater SF serves up extensive daily coverage of the San Francisco restaurant, nightlife and bar scene. From the newest temples of haute cuisine to the oldest bars in the Bay Area, Eater SF has you covered with original reporting; user-generated tips, rants and raves; and a curated round-up of what the rest of the restaurant and food media are talking about. Updated a dozen times a day or more, if it's not on Eater SF, you don't have to know about it. Among this week's highlights from editor Paolo Lucchesi and his team of spies and informants:

1) Financial District: It's not opening until October 1, but Eater SF's got the first photographic look inside chef Michael Dotson's new Sens at 4 Embarcadero Center. In seemingly unrelated news, the neighborhood is also bracing for its role on the front lines of the coming yogurt wars.

2) South Beach: Eater SF's Plywood Reports obsessively chronicle new restaurants from the minute they start construction. Here's an early look at two South Beach newcomers, the Aussified South Food + Wine Bar and Burger Joint's forthcoming third outpost.

3) The Mission: Noisy neighborhood newcomer Farina seems to have been spending some quality time on Chowhound and Citysearch, drumming up support. Yes, it's the first installment of Adventures in Shilling!

In the days, months, and dare we say years ahead, Curbed SF and Eater SF will be working hand-in-hand to chronicle the evolution of the city's neighborhoods from the sidewalks up. Do drop in—this will be fun.
