In Berkeley, Fuller Disclosure

Based on the current paradigm that all realtors must have blogs, Redfin has one, with a multitude of bloggers contributing. Best shot this past weekend was commentary from Berkeley, a town where they take their fish-scale shingles seriously.

According to the Berkeley Association for Historic Preservation, 2156 Ward Street was built A.W.Pattiani in 1896. In 2004 BAHA gave the house an award for interior and exterior preservation. Must have been a slow year. The interior's tragic and there's a dormer on the third floor they should have been forced to take down. But the blogger was interested enough to drive by the listing- and discovered a neighbor down the street at 2140 Ward warning away prospective buyers with a big sign: Do Not Buy 2122 Ward. Ah, Berkeley.
