Post-Weekend Links, from A to P

Lots of real estate reading this weekend, from appraisals to poo.

In the Chronicle, Carol Lloyd has a piece on the ethical and sometimes illegal squeeze put on appraisers to inflate valuations for mortgages brokers and realtors. Inspired by a blogpost by appraiser Jonathan Miller last week.

The New York Times puts out a special magazine section called Key. The print version was no doubt choc-a-block with condo advertising but the online version should keep you occupied for hours. Among the goodies: An article on Russ Whitney, the late-night TV get-rich-quick-and-Jesus guy, real estate division. Flipping Jesus! Plus a piece about bubble psychology.

Most compelling, however is the brief bit on non-electric composting toilets and waterless urinals. We're so there.
