Cars won't be able to access part of Golden Gate Park each and every Saturday for at least another four years, according to a law put into effect following a four month trial brokered by Newsom in April. The bikers are elated, of course, while the de Young Museum and other cultural institutions are most definitely not, citing decreased attendance as a main concern. (Funny, given that museums of that caliber rely primarily on endowments to fund their programming, not attendance fees.) [SF Examiner]
