Hey North Beach drunks! Looks like you won't be able to sop up the sauce with pizza anymore— after 2 a.m., that is. City planning officials asked shop owners along Broadway to consider shuttering their doors as the bars empty in the early 'morn; this simple act, the city believes, will curb street violence and the like. Quoth City Planning Commissioner Michael Antonini: “A lot of the people coming out of the clubs, they’ve been drinking — they’re hungry and they want something fast."
