Stanford University is building a $200M, $465 per night hotel on its own property (Sand Hill Road) to cater to visiting business and venture capitalist high rollers. Dallas-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts (manager of the Carlyle in Manhattan) will run the operation for the next 20 years. Architects, designers? Down with the terra cotta already!
