Move Over Meter Maids: UPS Shrinks Trucks

New, 3 comments

Looks like the ubiquitous parking golf carts/ mini spaceships/ whateverthefucks might have another small car contender on the way: UPS has introduced a line of 42 ZAP Xebra electric city cars and trucks for in-city small parcel deliveries (as they reduce emissions and such; you already know this). The program is still in its pilot stage: Petaluma, of all places, is hosting the first test drive, wherein delivery folks will monitor their electrical usage for cost/enviro analysis. Curbed SF prediction: we're up next, SF. At the very least a smaller hulking, brown fleet means less narrow misses for bike and motorcycle riders the city over.
