The SFBG Politics Blog is pissed at the Golden Gate Bridge, PG&E, corporate sponsorship— you name it. Today's diatribe recalls the ongoing battle over advertising on the bridge, which is expected to raise $60M toward future repairs (which are sorely needed, we're sure, following the seismic eff-up a few months back.) PG&E already enjoys a nice, shiny bronze plaque at the visitor's center— a reward for their donation of free lights, undoubtedly. Why grant accolades to a company whose history with SF is a troubled one, rife with greenwashing campaigns and buy-outs? Pigs! says the Guardian. [SFBG Politics Blog]
