Green Goddess: Introducing the mkLoft

New, 10 comments

San Francisco-based architect Michelle Kaufmann has just introduced the mkLoft, her most versatile building solution yet: Units are available in 2 and 3-stories, can be live/work or residential; the lower level may be customized for parking, retail— sky's the limit. Need to shelter 100? No problem. A single family? Done. The mkLoft utilizes all of Kaufmann's trademark materials and methods: recyclable materials, energy efficient insulation, water catchment, solar options, la-de-da da, et cetera, et cetera. Let's just put it this way: MK doesn't slap up a wind turbine, scotch tape her LEED certification to the window, and call it a green house.
