No, this is not some sort of souped up wheelchair or toddler cart. Rather, it's one of the many bike breeds native to the Mission, where drivers may fear being targeted for an insurance scam. We love our bikes, but cycles that place the rider 6 inches above the road or hovering 6 feet over traffic (really, have you seen that guy?) aren't quite playing fair now, are they? Bicycles, yeah, bikes are green; seems like we're going to be seeing a lot more of them around these parts, too. Gold medal, wheelchair-stroller-hybrid rider. Honorable Mention goes to "Buddy," the imitation Vespa. Poor, artless bastard.
