SOMA—Props to The Front Steps and rendering firm z?m llc, who just released the first known interior renderings of our Little Engine that Could, BL?. Thanks for ending our day on a high note, especially after our devastating loss in the Battle of the Blues. We're just going to go ahead and spread the love now, like wildfire... [The Front Steps]

SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDENCE, RI—Just like the missile base, file this one away under "didn't happen in SF, but definitely should have." Artist Michael Townsend has been sentenced to probation for building a 750-square foot apartment beneath a parking garage storage area in Providence Place Mall. He and eight others, including his mall-obsessed wife Adriana Yoto, squatted the fully furnished apartment (we're talking Play Station and everything), documenting the mall and its goings-on while taking advantage of the restroom facilities, too. Visit their former place at Yoto's site, Malllife. [The Providence Journal]
