More blows to affordable housing: Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval wants to exempt a surplus empty lot at the intersection of Ocean and Alemany from the rule that requires city-owned surplus property to be developed for the homeless, or if sold to a developer, the money used to pay for it elsewhere. Instead Sandoval wants to use the money to pay for more palm trees, and stuff. We love palm trees more than smelly homeless people, too, but what a dick.
