Rumblings & Bumblings

Tipster Week continues, with everybody's favorite development game, where you ask the questions and give the answers. The questions below were submitted by actual readers. If you've got an answer, another development question, or a sweet, sweet digital photograph, send us a line at sf@curbed.com.

1. North Beach: "What is the status of the ugly boarded up theater on Powell and Columbus? They covered up some of it with cheap cartoonish graffitti, but it's an eyesore! I'm sure there is much political wrangling, but ANYTHING would be better than what we have now. Even a Walgreens (which I heard got nixed), or god forbid Starbucks (not going to happen I know)."
2. Pacific Heights: "I was curious if you knew anything about the huge brick and stone house nearly finished on the north east corner of Broadway and Divisadero?" There's a rumor that it's the home of "one of the Metallica guys," did guitarist Kirk Hammett move from 2505 Divisadero to a new place just down the street?
3. Pacific Heights: Anyone know about what's up with the Bell Market that closed on Sutter street between Gough and Franklin. The nabe wants a new, nice grocery store... Maybe Rainbow should open a fancy outpost.
