New Boat on the Bay

[Image Credit: The Ferry Building Line]

Apparently we can't stop squeezing Frog Hollow peaches at the Farmer's Market long enough to notice there's a new bay excursion that leaves from the Ferry Plaza. Slightly awkward name of The Ferry Building Line which could be anything from a tabletop collection to a line of stevedore couture. But no:

Audio tour in English, Deutsch, and Español Enjoy San Francisco’s must-see architectural experience and discover how natural disasters, politics and the people of the Bay Area have changed this incredible landscape. You will witness the construction of the new Eastern Span of the Bay Bridge, learn how the renaissance of San Francisco’s Ferry Building and the building of San Francisco Giants Ball Park revitalized an entire area of town, and discover how San Francisco Bay’s world famous bridges, islands, and skyline architecture like Coit Tower and the Transamerica Building, were born from madness, vision, passion and perseverance. There's also the Native American tour and the Natural History tour. Witness the madness in comfort as they slap a set of headphones over your ears and set out on the voyage of discovery. Megaphones are so last century. Some doubt as to how permanent a berth this is, but it does reflect the shift in waterfront tourist use away from Fisherman's Wharf.
