September: A Month of Architecture

As part of this year's AIA San Francisco Architecture and The City events, Dwell Magazine has organized a three day program at the Concourse Exhibition Center (Brannan & 8th.) Exhibitors and talks represent the usual Dwell list of suspects: the latest on prefab housing, green design, plus outstanding furniture and interiors design. We expect to wallow. September 15-17

This is the third year of the local AIA chapter's event, and you can rely on a design-related activity almost everyday in September, along with swarms of thin, well-dressed people with expensive eyewear. The program includes talks and a film program, and the home tour weekend, where we get inside some of the town's best-designed places, like Nilus de Matran's Pennsylvania Avenue house (left) without any of that breaking-and-entering stuff.
