From the BizJournal comes the news that starchitect Renzo Piano, has tentatively agreed to design an office tower for a site at First & Mission (above) diagonally across from the Transbay terminal site. Hot on the heels of the Transbay Joint Powers Authority decision to transform the skyline with three new towers to help defray the cost of the new terminal. Expect new heights of wrangling on the way to approval. Which reminds us?what happened to the design competition for the terminal itself?
