Rumblings & Bumblings: Celebrealty Edition

Last month it was Benjamin Bratt's house (Zephyr says a sale is pending, we'll let you know), and today we got tipped about two more noteworthy neighbors selling their SF properties.

Scoop #1: Metallica guitarist, Kirk Hammett, listed his Pac Heights house for $12.5 million... with 9,519 square feet, 9 bedrooms, 7 full baths, 3 half baths, a library, and a "billiard/family room." We heard Kirk has an extensive collection of horror movie paraphernalia... maybe that's why there are no interior pics? And don't expect an open house any time soon.
[ Update: This just flew in through our electronic transom. Click on "virtual tour," it's everything you'd expect for a rock star. -Ed.]

Scoop #2: Presidio Heights Edwardian era townhouse owned by Amy Tan is for sale. We're sure the views of the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and Presidio are fantabulous, but the interior is kind of... meh. It's a little joy-lucked out, but the lighting above the pool table is quite possibly the ugliest chandelier we've seen all year. Knowing that there are two fireplaces makes it a little better... all this (3 bedrooms, 2 baths) for $2.295 million plus no parking. And it's a third-floor walk-up. Represented by the fabulous Olivia Hsu Decker.
