Bedfellows

What might be called the Yerba Buena Ethnic Trifecta: Of the Contemporary Jewish Museum , The Mexican Museum and the Museum of the African Diaspora only the last- better known as MoAD- has managed to reach the finish line and open as a component of the recently completed St Regis hotel project. The Jews will break ground nearby this spring for their blue-glass Liebeskind, but the Mexicans have been unable so far to raise sufficent funds for their starchitect project by Ricardo Legoretta.

Then it comes as no surprise that they've begun talks with JMA Ventures, recent purchasers of the adjoining (and historic) Mercantile Building, about a possible betrothal. One needs money, the other needs ratios.
