Looking More Like Amsterdam Every Day

The new Plaza Apartments on Sixth and Howard started out as housing for families, then shifted to supportive housing for the homeless. It's not only brightly colored, it's Green. On dreary, dirty Sixth Street, that's about as un-contextual as possible. And for that, we give thanks.

But we especially love the terrace off the laundry room. [photo by Penni Gladstone/Chron]
