Tuesday Morning Modern

Let us introduce 66 Cleary Court, a 1964 Eichler project designed by mid-century icon A. Quincy Jones.

Jones, of Emmons & Jones and not to be confused with the somewhat more musical Quincy Jones, is best known for his swank residential projects in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. He designed similar hi-rise projects in Santa Monica, but in true Eichler form, 66 Cleary was conceived to bring high design to a middle class audience.

66 Cleary remains a reliable source for mid-century starter condominiums in San Francisco, with most of he units selling for under 600K. Like many forty-five-year-olds, the apartments need varying degrees of work, but the setting is great and the views range from woodsy to city-wide.
