At 999 Green Street, built by Joe Eichler (and almost bankrupting him) and designed by Claude Oakland, c.1963-64, a one bedroom with nose-bleed views, $1.1M. Named The Summit, the building dominates the Russian Hill skyline, madly out of scale with its Edwardian/Arts & Crafts neighbors but rivaling them in swank. Also the setting of much of Sean Wilsey's Oh the Glory of it All. The building, not the listing.
