Curbed SF Three-Pack: Let's Get Fireplaced

Our brethren (parents?) at Curbed NY are all about fireplaces today. Must be cold in New York, so we decided to throw up a few log-burning ameneties of our own.

What: Full floor condo in one of SF's grandest Parisian-style apartment buildings, 1001 California Street on Nob Hill.
Asking: $3.5M
Up the Chimney: Baronial log burner under a stained glass skylight. Guaranteed to upstage most, if not all of your friends and more importantly, siblings. Second fireplace in the panelled library should eliminate any fireplace inadequacy.

What: Half-floor "New York Style" condo on Jackson Street in Pacific Heights.
Asking: $1.495M
Up the Chimney: Somehow the glory of having a fireplace in this very nice apartment is eclipsed by the glory of having two deeded parking spaces, even if they're in the building next door. Finally, a place to put the Boxster.

What:Second level condo in a Victorian at 630 Waller Street. and the winner in number of available flaming locations.
Asking: $850K
Up the Chimney: One big fireplace in the living room, one in the dining room, and lots of room for a grill out on the terrace. And probably the best kitchen we've seen all week.
