We turn our backs and poof! 2510 Steiner Street sells (ok, pends) in two weeks. Barely on the market, this barely two-bedroom/two-bath with a peculiar walk-thru elevator lacks a garage and admittedly needs a new kitchen. So even just shy of $2.7 million, we're sensing major renovations, which probably means occupancy is mid-2008. Dated 1870, it may be listed and protected, but Pacific Heights is a neighborhood of expensive tear-downs disguised as renovations, so who knows? We'll miss its serenely shiny blackitude.
