God's Little Eichler

It doesn't happen every day, and that makes it all the more special: finding a remarkably preserved Eichler just sitting there in your email. In this case, 375 Devon Drive in the Terra Linda 'hood of San Raphael. Under 900K, four bedrooms with atrium. Room for a pool, as they say in LA. Open this coming Sunday (10/29) and worth a field trip for mid-century groupies (taxi!) architecture and art history students alike. To quote the Chronicle's John King

It's an Eichler, not a piece of the True Cross. True, just in way better shape. A chance to see first hand and in outstanding condition one of the icons of modernism- and a component in the paradigm shift that took place in American life after World War II- just doesn't come along often.
