Monte Rio during it's annual flooding: Venice in the Redwoods?

The Politics of Poop? Not just mere politics, because everything in Northern California reaches a cosmic level at some point in the debate.

Well, it's also a conflict about where all our fabulous artisanal food goes: public sewer systems and riparian rights, zoning and land use. In the area known as Russian River, a diverse collection of weekend cottages, hipppie hideaways, big private ranches and the Bohemian Grove. A few very good wineries. Oh, and meth labs.
