Next stop Reno? A piece in the Chronicle deals mostly with issues like high prices and affordability, but hints at someting more tantalizing: a mega-metropolitan area stretching from San Francisco across Sacramento all the way to Reno, NV.
There's no income tax in Nevada, and Reno is making an effort to attract tech companies. Much of the migration and new development is fueled by folks cashing out their "inflated" equity in the Bay Area. At which point it's no longer "inflated" but more like "thank you Baby Jesus."
