In 2014, the Sunset Disrict was the most competitive market for homebuyers in the nation, according to research by real estate website Redfin. Price growth in 2014 totaled 12.5 percent, and 87.9 percent of homes sold over asking, with a median sale price of $955,000. The Sunset's desirability owes, no doubt, to its (relative!) affordability in this town—at least until everyone flees for Crocker in Daly City, 2015's predicted hottest neighborhood. In January, the median sale price fell back to $929,000, though there's not a ton of inventory around and we expect things to pick back up come spring, as they're wont to do. Here now, we've rounded up the 10 least expensive properties for sale in the Sunset right this second. The most common list price is $799,000, for which you'll usually get a boxy two-bedroom in need of upgrades.
