The oceanfront house that today sits at 830 El Camino del Mar in Sea Cliff is undoubtedly a beauty, but the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home that was originally planned for the property was even more divine. Wright drew several versions of the house, which would have included a dramatic section plunging down to the waterfront. The house was never built, but the Morris family that owned the property did commission Wright to build the V.C. Morris gift shop at 140 Maiden Lane, which is the only Wright work in San Francisco.
