Murder-mystery master Alfred Hitchcock bought a 200-acre estate known as Heart o' the Mountains in Scotts Valley in 1940. The residence sparked a long-lasting love affair with the Bay Area and Northern California that's reflected (and re-reflected and re-reflected!) in his movies.
