The Mission's future tallest condo project and second-tallest building has topped out at eight stories on Mission Street. 2558 Mission Street, otherwise known as Vida, will soon be home to 114 one and two bedroom units and 89 parking spaces. The project is adjacent to the Mission Theater, which is being revived as a five-screen movie theater, restaurant and bar. Vida will undoubtedly play a role in changes coming to Mission Street, which is the subject of San Francisco Magazine's current cover story. Floor plans have been released, the sales office is set to open this spring, and a crane now stretches above the site. Vida's architect, Kwan Henmi, describes the future units as "small" and "meticulously-designed." They range in size from a 494 square foot junior one bedroom up to a 1,521 square foot two-bed, two-bath. Each condo will include Bosch and Bertazzoni kitchen appliances, while the building will feature a garden deck with views from Twin Peaks to Bernal Heights.
