In July of 2011 this home designed in 1915 by Arthur Brown Jr. hit the market asking $9,500,000. Mr. Arthur is best known around town as the guy who designed City Hall, Coit Tower, and the War Memorial Opera House, but back to the house. The 3-bed, 7-bath, 5,900 square foot Beaux-Arts Pacific Heights manse sat on the market for about a year and a half, chopping its price down and delisting and relisting itself. In mid-August it hacked its price to $7,500,000, and it sold yesterday for $7,400,000. Congrats to the lucky buyer. [Curbed SF/Redfin]
