Avalon at Mission Bay Opens, Chops Price; Still too Expensive

avalonprices.jpg

Avalon at Mission Bay opened last week -- did you go to their open house? Apparently it was quite a celebration, with "over 100 guests." We'll interpret that to mean that there were 101.

And it seems as though prices have been cut ever so slightly since we reported on rents in March. Studios are down from $2,110 to $1,855; 1-beds down from $2,435 to $2,260; and 2-beds down from $3,230 to $2,870. It's a move in the right direction, but $1,855 for a studio in that neighborhood still doesn't produce vibrations. Especially if it's true that the ceiling leaks.
