So, now do we have to say "A Fillmore" instead of "The Fillmore"? The doors to The Fillmore Charlotte opened last Friday and drew a college crowd; the building is "based on" our very own venue at Geary and Fillmore. Weird! Does it look the same? Who knows. The only photo we could find of the place was this grainy chandelier, which reveals little.
And apparently, building duplicate Fillmores is a thing now. There's a Fillmore in Detroit, Philadelphia, Denver, and Miami; and there's one planned for Maryland but some residents think that they can get a better deal. Like we said: weird!
