Sunset Farmer's Market Was Lovely

An empty lot at 9th and Judah was put to good use this Sunday -- another brand new farmer's market, yay! The market on Diviz turns one year old today, and it's been going gangbusters; so it's nice to see more fruitstands popping up around the city. Twitter reports that some stands were selling out by 11am, which bodes well for the endeavor. Plus live music and a ribbon-cutting by Ross Mirkarimi, and appearances from "The Bag Monster" and "Mr. Carrot." What a gala.
That brings the total number of markets in the city up to eight, according to an association that keeps track of that sort of thing. Whew! That's a lot of produce.
