UFO (Potentially) Spotted in the Castro

There's trouble in the Castro. The neighborhood is split between whether or not it's a good idea to create a pink cloud above the temporary public plaza that recently opened at Castro and Market streets. The pink cloud was originally dreamed up back in 2000 as an art piece to commemorate the late Harvery Milk, but there was no money to fund the project. Now it's back, thanks to Supervisor Bevan Dufty and the San Francisco Arts Commission. The cloud is created using steam and mirrors, and some wonder if it'll soak the Castro or float down Market street. In the meantime, artist Christian Werthmann is doing a 3-month study of the wind and traffic patterns to see if his idea is even feasible. Stay tuned!
