Pelosi Begs Bush to Back Mortgage Plan
Thursday, May 8, 2008, by Sarah Hromack

7May08_Foreclosured.jpg We're just sayin' ... Our very own PeLo is urging Bush to adopt the mortgage relief plan that he has vowed to veto today; Pelosi echoes Federal Reserve Board chair Benjamin Bernanke, who has recently advocated for refinancing by the government. Quoth PeLo: "Only moments after falsely accusing Congress of inaction, the president signed bipartisan legislation ... and will sign other bipartisan priorities that will become law because the he set aside partisanship and worked with Democrats to make progress for America. We urge him to do so again and work with Congress to keep people in their homes and stabilize the housing market." [PR Newswire]
