Hard Knock Life for Ellison, The Kids
Thursday, March 27, 2008, by Sarah Hromack

27Mar08_warbucks.jpegLikened to "a village in Imperial Japan," Oracle founder Larry Ellison's Rather Hideous Woodside estate was recently re-assessed at $70 million by San Mateo County officials (down from $173 million) after Ellison's legal counsel went to the mats over his property taxes. Daddy Larry will receive a $3 million refund on past payments, along with a $1.1 million reduction on this round. Cost to the San Mateo school district: $300,000. Annie, get your gun. [Valleywag]
