Quote of the Day: Nuremberg Trial for SF Arch?
Monday, February 25, 2008, by Sarah Hromack

Not even noon and we've already found our quote of the day. In the January issue of the London Review of Books, critic Allan Bennett envisions a "Nuremberg Trial" in the town of Bath for "all the perpetrators of its architectural atrocities." Invoking Bennett's twisted little fantasy, District 5 Diary blogger Rob Anderson muses: "We might consider something similar for all the "progressive" rulers and citizens— a list that will include, for openers, Ross Mirkarimi, Chris Daly, Bevan Dufty, Gavin Newsom, John King, Rob Bregoff, Robin Levitt, Paul Olsen, and Jason Henderson— who are now in the process of destroying this once-beautiful city." Albert Speer and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrell: total parallel there! (Insert dismissive eye roll here.) [District 5 Diary]
