Fun With Democracy: Hope at the Palms?

For the discerning buyer looking for hotel-like living, The Palms has it all (sort of). Contemporary lobby, concierge service, Miami Vice-inspired courtyard, and a wide selection of rooms — including this one-bedroom. Yes, yes, it is rather hideous, but can you look deeper? Can you see the potential in this "elegant design" (the listing's words, not ours!) and its SoMa location? Oh, and with an asking price of $715,000 and an area of just 786 square feet, it comes in at a whopping $909.67 per. So what say you, gentle reader?
