Seems to be a day for legends at Curbed SF. A tipster gave up 3022 Washington Street. A much-photographed renovated firehouse previously the home of legendary surrealist interior designer John Dickinson 1920-1982. Apparently lived in by Attorney General Jerry Brown when he was legendary former Governor Jerry Brown. Currently the home of John Traina, the polymath-businessman-farmer perhaps best-known as the ex-husband of Danielle Steel and Dede Wilsey (though probably not at the same time) who's also an expert on the works of the Czarist-era Russian jeweler Carl Faberge. Lots of shiny surfaces and deceased zebra, no visible Faberge eggs, maybe a few ostrich. $4,850,000.00, pole included.
After the jump, a photo of the firehouse from 1953.

[Update: we've been informed that 3022 Washington was also the home of legendary advertising executive Hal Riney. See Property Shark for too much information, including what Traina paid.]
